Mom, wife, daughter, serial entrepreneur, possibility dealer, and yogi!
Rachel has spent the last two decades as a student of psychology, yoga, fitness, nutrition, and mindfulness meditation. She is a believer in possibility, and conquering your goals and then transcending past them. Rachel believes we can do anything we put our minds to.
Gaining over 20 pounds her freshman year in college and then adding on another 10 pounds sophomore year she felt horrible about herself. The weight not only added pounds onto her body, but it also left her feeling less then "not good enough". The compounded effects of the weight and poor self-esteem left her anxious and depressed. During her senior year in college she met a young man that inspired her to get healthy. She began to workout and watch what she was eating. She started to follow every new diet and exercise program that entered the market. This initially helped her take off some weight, but each time she would go off the diet she would end up putting the weight back on, leaving her frustrated and upset. Years of food restriction and over exercising began to take a toll on her mentally and physically. She was angry and frustrated all the time. She felt as if no matter what she did she could not take off the last 15 pounds or so. She had tried every diet, and everytime she felt like a failure when the diet did not produce the results she so desperately desired.
In 2010 she was introduced to yoga. Discovering yoga she believes is what saved her from her own worst enemy, herself. Shortly after discovering how amazing she felt after ever yoga class she decided she wanted to learn more, understand why she felt so good after each practice. This lead her to register for a teacher training program. Little did she know how much this program would change her life. It is in this program where she was first introduced to self-inquiry. Self-inquiry gave her insight into her own thinking, and how her thinking was impacting all the decisions she had made to this point in her life. The true journey back to herself began at this point. It is from this experience that she began to study and learn as much as she could about the power of the mind. Re-discovering her own power set up the framework to end her struggle with weight. The ability to manage her mind, gave her the power to manage her body, and every aspect of her life. From this incredible process she not only lost all of the excess body weight but she gained self-confidence, self-love, and a career.
In 2011 she opened up her first yoga studio in a suburb of Atlanta, Ga. After two years of great success she sold her half of the business to her business partner in order to open up another studio in her community. In 2014 she opened up her second yoga studio in her local community. Rachel has trained over 100 yoga teachers and continues to lead yoga teacher trainings. Helping yogi's turn into community leaders and transformation workers.
The key to your success she believes starts with you, your mindset, your belief systems, and your goals. Rachel understands that confidence is the key to a successful meaningful life. Rachel is here to help you get out of your own way, help you drop your bullshit stories, the lies you have been telling yourself to transform beyond your wildest dreams. Whether you want to improve your relationships with your spouse or children, start a business, or conquer your health goals she is here to teach you that the only tool you need is your mind.
